Australian technology services company Kinetic IT has announced Robert Mactier has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Rob’s appointment expands the current Board’s membership to seven, and follows the recent appointment of Chairperson Rhoda Phillippo in February this year.
Bringing specialised skills and knowledge from his investment banking and board experiences across both Australia and Asia, Rob has held numerous roles at both executive and non-executive director levels. He has a proven track record in successfully advising and guiding companies through times of organisational transformation and change.
Chairperson Rhoda Phillippo welcomed Rob’s appointment, and the depth of expertise he brings to the Board.
“Rob joins Kinetic IT at an important time in the company’s history as we look to confirm our position in the market as a leading Australian technology services provider, and foster our continued growth and success.
“I look forward to working with Rob and the Board on this next chapter in Kinetic IT’s history, and continuing to deliver on our vision to enhance the human experience through technology,” she said.
Based in Sydney, New South Wales, Rob is currently the Deputy Chair of Nuix Limited, and concurrent with his non-executive director roles he is also a consultant to the Advisory and Capital Markets division of UBS in Australia.
Rob has held a variety of leadership roles in the Australian investment banking and securities markets and, through his investment banking career, has had extensive experience in working closely with organisations to develop and execute corporate growth and divestment strategies. This includes capital markets financing, including Initial Public Offering processes, and Merger and Acquisition transaction execution. In 2021, Rob, as chair, guided two ASX-listed companies (WPP AUNZ Limited and ALE Property Group) through successful takeovers.
“In a constantly changing world, technology solutions to make our way of life simpler are more important than ever,” he said. “I’m pleased to be joining Kinetic IT at this key time in the company’s history so I can contribute to bringing this vision to life and ensure that, as an organisation, we’re positioned for ongoing success – now and into the future.”
Rob holds a degree in economics from the University of Sydney and has previously been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
