Two Kinetic IT trainees have won major accolades at the 2026 GTNT Group Awards, held Friday 3 July at Mindil Beach Casino Resort.
Brandon Marshall was named 2026 Trainee of the Year, and Isabella Savage was named 2026 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year.
It was a day of double celebrations with both Brandon and Isabella receiving their traineeship certificates from Integrity Business College earlier the same day, hours before the ceremony.
Brandon completed his Certificate III in Information Technology while working as a Senior Service Centre Technician in Kinetic IT’s Darwin team.
Isabella, a previous GTNT Group Awards finalists, completed her Certificate IV in Business while working at Kinetic IT, and is an alum of CSIRO’s Young Indigenous Women’s STEM Academy.
Both traineeships are delivered through Kinetic IT’s partnerships with GTNT Group, now in its 36th year connecting Territory apprentices and trainees with employers, and with Integrity Business College.
Kinetic IT Account Director Karina Bourne congratulated Brandon and Isabella on their wins.
“Brandon and Isabella have built genuine skills and relationships throughout their traineeships with Kinetic IT, this recognition of their efforts is fantastic and well deserved.
“To anyone thinking about a traineeship: this is what it looks like when the work pays off. Brandon and Isabella put in the effort, and it’s already opening doors. Our crew in Darwin and across the country are very proud.
“Traineeships let us grow capability from within, connecting our global expertise with local talent and knowledge. Brandon and Isabella are a good example of what that looks like in practice.”
The company also thanked Integrity Business College’s Dylan Venables for attending the awards night in support of the Kinetic IT team.
Brandon and Isabella will next be considered for the NT Training Awards in September.
