Kinetic IT is thrilled to announce that Adam Martin, Principal Consultant – Service Integration and Management (SIAM), has been named itSMF Service Management Champion of the Year at the 2025 itSMF Australia Awards
The supreme itSMF Australia award recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing service management both within their own organisations and across the broader industry.
In honouring Adam’s professional achievements, this prestigious award also recognises the Sydneysider’s people-first approach, values-driven leadership, and commitment to uplifting the service management profession.
“I’m absolutely blown away to be named the 2025 Service Management Champion of the Year,” Adam said. “I am humbled to have been nominated let alone win. I’d like to thank itSMF Australia for this recognition and I congratulate all nominees across all award categories.
“This means a lot to me. It shows putting the employee at the centre of every service and service delivery outcome is vital to success. Thank you also to my Kinetic IT crew for championing me and my career. This is certainly a highlight I will cherish forever.”
A values-driven leader shaping the future of SIAM
With extensive expertise in service management, Adam has built a career navigating complex, multi-supplier environments and driving outcomes that benefit both organisations and end customers.
“Having worked on both customer and provider sides, Adam brings a rare, balanced perspective to service management, ensuring solutions are not only effective but also human-centred and sustainable,” said Michelle Major-Goldsmith, Kinetic IT Service Line Manager for Service Integration and Systems.
“Adam is renowned for being technically skilled, people-focused, emotionally intelligent, and courageously inclusive. His leadership style combines deep knowledge of service management frameworks with the ability to inspire confidence and collaboration in those around him. This unique combination allows Adam to consistently deliver outstanding results while creating environments where people feel supported and empowered to perform at their best.”
Michelle said Adam’s people-centric ethos was again on full display on the night of the awards, held in Brisbane-Meanjin in August.
“When Adam received his award, he invited the Kinetic IT crew to stand up in the audience. This is a powerful reflection of how we succeed together by uplifting one another, sharing knowledge, and creating space for the next wave of leaders.
“The respect and care within our team was clear to everyone in the room, and our energy, connection, and enthusiasm made this a stand out moment. It wasn’t just about the awards, it was about showing that our crew are true ambassadors for Kinetic IT, united in how we show up for each other and for our industry.”
Recognising Fabio Plos and Michelle Major-Goldsmith
Adam’s award capped off a strong showing for Kinetic IT at this year’s itSMF National Industry Awards. Two of his colleagues – Fabio Plos and Michelle Major-Goldsmith – were also recognised as finalists in their respective categories.
Fabio was celebrated as a finalist for itSMF Service Management Emerging Professional of the Year.
The category acknowledges early-career professionals who are already shaping the industry with fresh perspectives, curiosity, and passion.
“Fabio’s recognition highlights his energy and capability as a rising talent, someone who is already leaving his mark while demonstrating enormous potential as one of the next-generation leaders in service management,” Adam said.
Michelle, meanwhile, was recognised as a finalist for itSMF Service Management Lifetime Contributor.
This award honours individuals whose careers have been dedicated to advancing service management, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship, leadership, and innovation.
“Thank you to itSMF for continually raising the bar for excellence, encouraging collaboration, and championing the growth of countless professionals across Australia and beyond,” Michelle said.
Championing collaboration and community
At the heart of Adam’s work in Service Integration and Management is a dedication to building a more human and resilient service management community.
He has long advocated for the importance of SIAM in bridging organisational and supplier relationships, helping organisations unlock greater value through integration, transparency, and trust.
Adam also actively mentors peers and future leaders, while contributing thought leadership that pushes the boundaries of how service management is understood and applied. As a result, he is a trusted voice in the Australian IT service management landscape.
Reflecting on the award, Adam said:
“This recognition is as much about the people I’ve worked alongside as it is about my own contribution. Service management is a team sport: it’s about building trust, fostering collaboration, and creating environments where everyone can succeed.
“I’m incredibly proud to be part of a community that values not just delivery excellence, but also the humanity behind it.”
As service management continues to evolve in the face of digital transformation and increasingly complex supplier ecosystems, leaders like Adam will be vital in guiding the industry forward. His recognition highlights not only his contribution, but also the growing importance of SIAM in delivering secure, customer-focused services.
Congratulations Adam! Your impact is felt not only at Kinetic IT but across the entire service management community.
