Kinetic IT leads IT managed services for Adecco’s Australian Defence Force Recruiting

Kinetic IT has expanded its operations into Queensland after winning the contract to lead IT managed services for Adecco Australia, the key recruitment delivery partner for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The deal signifies Kinetic IT’s reputation as a highly trusted technology services partner, and expands the company’s scale and capabilities along Australia’s east coast. The partnership is set for the next six years with the option to extend.

Guided by Service Director Jason Greenall, Kinetic IT will deliver a comprehensive suite of managed services encompassing cloud management, network administration, end-user computing, standard operating environment (SOE), Microsoft 365, and service desk solutions. These offerings are further enhanced by the inclusion of Kinetic IT’s PROTECT+ 24×7 Security Operations Centre and cutting-edge cyber security services.

Adecco Australia, also known as ADF Careers, is a specialised provider of recruitment services. Adecco Australia secured the contract for recruiting services with the Australian Defence Force in late 2022 with the vision to deliver a recruitment solution which meets current and future workforce demand for the Navy, Army and Air Force. Kinetic IT has formed part of Adecco’s solution to meet the ICT requirements of the service.

Gene Crowe, Managing Director of Adecco’s Defence Force Recruiting unit, said the partnership was already delivering great customer outcomes.

“We are thrilled to have Kinetic IT on board. When delivering recruitment services for the Australian Defence Force, it is so important to be supported by a resourceful and passionate team of IT experts such as Kinetic IT.

“In supporting our work with ADF, Kinetic IT is delivering advanced technology for our initiatives including the recent Mobile ADF Careers Centre, elevating the project through both the IT design, build and installation.”

Leighton Freene, Group Executive for Federal, Defence and Emergency Services, expressed confidence in Kinetic IT’s pivotal role within Adecco Australia’s Defence Force Recruiting unit, emphasising the company’s commitment to delivering seamless technology solutions and striving for excellence.

“This milestone is testament to Kinetic IT’s unmatched track record in providing high quality, secure technology solutions and integration services, particularly within the Defence sector.

“Leveraging our best-in-class IT processes, Kinetic IT is set to harness its extensive expertise in managed services to optimise the performance of Defence Force Recruiting’s technology infrastructure, enabling our customer to meet the evolving needs of the Australian Defence Force.”

Leighton highlighted the organisations’ shared values and commitments to being good upstanding corporate citizens. He emphasised Kinetic IT’s existing connections with the veteran community through partnerships with Soldier On and the company’s existing contract with the Australian Department of Defence.

“This opportunity with Adecco Australia aligns with our common objective of forging enduring relationships within the Defence sector, as well as creating career opportunities for veterans and their partners while continuing to invest into our local community.”

Service Director Jason Greenall said that 26 skilled professionals, comprising a mix of new and existing Kinetic IT crew, were assigned to the account.

“Notably, some crew members relocated to Brisbane from Darwin, Melbourne, and Canberra, providing them with the chance to return to their hometowns and reunite with their families. For others, they were keen to make a change, try something new, and experience life in Brisbane.”

Of the new employees on the account, Jason said it was fantastic to have eight veterans who had experience in the Australian Defence Force.

“Some of those crew members left the Defence Force to come join us in their first job external to their Defence careers. Some have held other roles since their Defence careers but jumped at the opportunity to come work for an organisation delivering outcomes that, as veterans, they’ve had some experience with.”

Kinetic IT crew will deliver managed services primarily from Brisbane, while leveraging the organisation’s specialist capabilities to deliver a range of outcomes through platform and service integration, data and analytics, and cyber security from across Australia.

Adecco Australia’s Defence Force Recruiting is the latest addition to Kinetic IT’s growing customer base along the east coast. This includes the recently announced win of managed services for the Australian Taxation Office and the re-won contract with Qantas Group.
