IWD Award: Narita Néron

Congratulations Narita Néron, winner of the 2024 IWD Award!

IWD Awards
2024 IWD Award winner Narita Néron is a Service Delivery Manager based in Canberra/Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country.

In being awarded the premier accolade of our first-ever IWD Awards program, Narita has been recognised by her peers as a woman who has been a consistently high performing practitioner and inspires others who work alongside her.

Judges from our Gender Working Group said Narita has demonstrated excellence well above the award criteria.

“She understands the importance of being a woman in our industry, and makes it her priority to demonstrate courage, leadership, and challenges the status quo to enact change. Standing on the shoulders of the incredible women who came before her, and forging a path for all the women and girls that will come after her.

“Narita has done so much for women at Kinetic IT and more broadly. She established our ACT Women’s Network which has delivered some great initiatives already including the Reach Out and Listen program. She’s an integral member of our inaugural Gender Working Group, a key custodian of our partnership with Women in Information and Communication, and is key to making sure that women are encouraged and able to have access to networking events.

“She’s always looking for new and innovative ways to ensure women are represented, heard and respected.”

Narita is the Service Delivery Manager for one of Kinetic IT’s biggest federal government customers, is involved in our mentoring program and is a recognised leader in her profession of service integration, including delivering a keynote at the 11th annual Police Technology Forum earlier this month.

Congratulations Narita, we are incredibly inspired by you and ecstatic to see you celebrated!

IWD Emerging Leader Award: Kristen Madaffari

Congratulations Kristen Madaffari, winner of the 2024 IWD Emerging Leader Award!

International Womens Day Winner Emerging Leader
2024 IWD Emerging Leader Award winner Kristen Madaffari is an Operations Manager in Perth/Whadjuk Noongar Country.

In winning the Emerging Leader Award, Kristen has been recognised as an individual exhibiting significant initiative and leadership potential within our organisation.

Judges from our Gender Working Group added that this award also celebrates Kristen’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and gender equity within Kinetic IT.

Kristen is a high achieving Operations Manager who goes the extra mile to build enduring relationships, and demonstrates excellence in our profession. By organising monthly catch ups for women in her account, and establishing a mentoring program to support newcomers, Kristen’s initiative and drive has created greater exposure of the roles and career paths available to women.

“Congratulations Kristen, you’ve achieved so much at KIT already and we look forward to seeing what you’re capable of in the future.”

We couldn’t agree more. Well done, Kristen.

IWD Allyship Award: Guy Perry

Congratulations Guy Perry, winner of the IWD Allyship Award!

International Womens Day Winner Allyship
Guy Perry has been awarded the Allyship Award in the inaugural IWD Awards. Guy is an Account Director based in Perth/Whadjuk Noongar Country.

The Allyship Award is given to an individual who takes action to advance gender equity and inclusion at Kinetic IT.

“Ultimately, being an ally for gender equity is not just about words but about taking action to effect positive change,” the judges from our Gender Working Group said.

“Visibility is one of the keys to effective allyship… As allies, it’s our responsibility to challenge inequities and work towards creating a far more level playing field. One of the most impactful ways we can do this is actively listening and amplifying the voices of women, and creating spaces where everyone feels empowered to speak up, contribute their ideas, their experiences and their perspectives. Male allies must also be willing to educate themselves on gender issues and privilege.

“It was clear from the nominations Guy received that he is a great example of allyship. Guy’s been instrumental in supporting positive change in the workplace.”

Since being appointed as an Account Director, Guy’s increased the diversity in his leadership team including doubling the number of women in leadership roles.

Guy has co-developed the gender diversity plan for his team and through his actions has established a foundation to further champion gender equity.

“Guy naturally embodies key ally attributes. One nomination comment in particular sums it up: ‘As a woman in Guy’s account, I am heard and I am recognised’.”

Congratulations Guy, thoroughly deserved win!
