Kinetic IT & WAITTA Champion Young STEM Innovators at 9th Game Changer Awards

The next generations of STEM leaders will be sharing their solutions to world challenges at the upcoming 9th Game Changer Awards, of which Kinetic IT is a Platinum sponsor.

Our longstanding partnership with the Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunications Alliance (WAITTA) reflects our commitment to empowering local talent. Since 2021, we’ve supported WAITTA’s key initiatives, including the INCITE Awards, Game Changer Awards, and Putt4Dough charity event, reinforcing our dedication to advancing WA’s tech community.

What are the Game Changer Awards?

The Game Changer Awards provide an opportunity for students in Years 3 to 10 to demonstrate their creativity and problem-solving skills through STEM projects. The 2024 event will feature innovative projects aimed at addressing real-world challenges, from environmental sustainability to technological advancements.

The Game Changer Awards give students in Years 3 to 10 a platform to showcase their STEM projects. The 2024 event, on 28 October at ECU Joondalup, will feature innovative ideas tackling real-world problems. Recent winners include the Fluffy Bot, an AI-powered mental health helper, the Space Junk Collector, designed to remove space debris, and the Bee Drones, aimed at supporting agriculture and biodiversity. These projects highlight the transformative impact young innovators can make by applying STEM skills to global issues.

Celebrating transformative tech solutions

Kinetic IT also sponsors the Transformative Solutions category at the INCITE Awards, which honours ground-breaking achievements in technology. In 2024, NGIS Australia took centre stage with their award-winning project TraceMark Sustainable Sourcing, which monitors global deforestation and sustainability to aid with sourcing raw materials.

Continuing to nurture WA’s tech community

Beyond WAITTA, Kinetic IT partners with organisations such as Women in Technology Western Australia (WiTWA), regularly participating in initiatives like TechTrails. These partnerships reflect our mission to drive diversity, inclusion, and STEM education across WA’s tech sector, from youth development to women’s leadership.
