Kinetic IT’s Isabella Savage has been named a finalist in the Australian School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year Award at the 2025 Northern Territory Training Awards.
As an Administrative Assistant supporting Kinetic IT’s Darwin-Garramilla operations, Isabella says the recognition is a big deal.
“Being named a finalist for the NT Training Awards is something I am extremely proud of. It makes me feel recognised for all my efforts. Representing what I love and continue to do is a passion of mine.”
Isabella’s training journey started at Taminmin College, where she completed a Certificate I in Workplace Skills. She then went on to complete a Certificate III in Business with Kinetic IT training partner Integrity Business College, which earned her this award nomination.
Since then, Isabella’s kept going – completing the Certificate III, starting her Certificate IV in Business, finishing Year 12, and even taking part in the Tertiary Enabling Program at Charles Darwin University.
When it comes to the future, Isabella is focused on finishing everything she’s started, including her Year 12 studies and her current courses. After graduating, she plans to work full-time with Kinetic IT and take on a Diploma in Business next year.
Isabella says the long-term goal is to keep studying while working.
“My desired end goal is to have both a postgraduate degree in business management and a postgraduate degree in finance. Charles Darwin University offers great opportunities, and I plan to take full advantage of those while building my career,” she said.
Life at Kinetic IT
Isabella says working at Kinetic IT has been a positive experience from the start.
“First of all, it’s comfortable. It’s easy to make connections in the office – everyone is friendly and unique. Our office is very inclusive and always supportive of trainees, with plenty of community events that bring people together,” she explained.
Isabella is grateful for the support she’s had along the way.
“I’d like to thank my managers, Jenna Thomson and Karina Bourne, for supporting me in my training journey, and Tracery Duldig for stepping up and taking on a parental role in my life. I’m also grateful to anyone who has inspired and helped me along my journey,” she said.
“We’re proud of Isabella and all that she’s achieved so far,” Kinetic IT Account Director Karina Bourne says. “Being named a finalist is a huge accomplishment, and we’ll be cheering her on at the NT Training Awards.”
